The state of Washington is a popular destination for people who want to explore the Pacific Northwest. This state is known for its alternative music, technology and sports teams. As a result, visitors and locals have plenty to choose from in regards to entertainment. However, there are some parts of Washington more interesting to be in than others. Below are a few of the best places to visit in Washington.

Auburn

The city of Auburn is one of the best places to visit in Washington because of its nightlife. Besides having a super mall that stays open late, this Washington city also has a racetrack, casino and amphitheater. Therefore, visitors and locals of Auburn can shop, bet on a horse, throw dice and watch a classic play. Auburn’s popularity is evident after dark because the traffic is just as heavy as it is during the day. People don’t mind though because they know that the fun they will have once in Auburn is worth the drive.

Tacoma

Tacoma is an urban city located in the western part of Washington. Known for a seaport and industrial-based economy, Tacoma is a magnet for hardworking average Joes. Yet, one of the best-kept secrets about this city is its culture. Tacoma is one of the best places to visit in Washington because of the number museums within the city limits. They showcase everything from local history to art. One of the most popular ones is the Museum of Glass. Seattle

Coffee, rain and socially conscious people are often associated with the city of Seattle - and rightfully so. Throughout the year, people can visit Walla Walla and taste vintage wine and eat sweet onions. They can also go to the farmer's market and participate in one of the many seasonal festivals like 'Warm Up in Walla'. Tourists don't need a special map to navigate through Walla Walla. All they need is an adventurous mind and desire to explore one of the best places to visit in Washington.

Port Townsend

Port Townsend, a city named by the National Geographic as one of the most sophisticated places west of Seattle, is one of the best places to visit in Washington. The area is known for its Victorian and history architect and beautiful scenery. Chetzemoka Park is a shining star in Port Townsend attracting both locals and tourists. Complete with delicate flower gardens and green topiary, this park is exquisite. Visitors to Port Townsend can stroll around the city taking advantage of several photos ops or just go to a park for some much needed rest and relaxation.
