If your hair is too flat and you would like to add some height to it, use 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. It absorbs oil and will add volume to your hair.

To make thin hair appear thicker, add one tablespoon of unflavored gelatin directly to your shampoo bottle. You can buy gelatin in the baking section at the grocery store. The gelatin will give you a "fuller look" by thickening the strands of each hair.

To condition your hair, add a tablespoon or a little more of vinegar. That will dissolve residue left from shampoo.

To whiten and brighten your teeth, take and mix hydrogen peroxide and a minty mouthwash or Listerine. Mix equal parts, about a 1/2 an ounce of each and rinse your mouth with it after brushing teeth and you will get one shade lighter and whiter.

Softer colors for older women: softer colors on cheeks and lips that give women with gray hair, an image of soft color without harsher, more edgy colors, should give a flowing look. Slates, grays and white eye shadows for the eyes give a sleek and sexy look without being too dramatic. There are three color palettes for cheeks and lips that always look well with silver hair - rose, peach and pink. Rose and salmon are very complimentary on older women. What will make you look washed out are browns and more neutral colors, so stay with the lighter colors.

How to exfoliate and do a facial mask: oatmeal is natural and inexpensive. It's simple to use. Mix some oatmeal together with milk to form a paste and then put it on your face for a wonderful facial. Massage your face gently while you leave the mask on for about 10 minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and put on a light moisturizer when you are finished or done.

Also take an oatmeal and almond oil exfoliating hot bath! Get a cup of oatmeal, add about 10 drops of almond oil, fill the bathtub and completely relax! Take a loofah, mix with the oatmeal, gently scrubbing your whole body. You will soak in the oatmeal and the almond oil will leave your skin with a nice, fragrant scent and be a good moisturizing agent.

To fix lipstick stains on glasses, lick the glass and then drink from it.

To make lipstick stay applied longer, take an ice cube and just rub ice across your lips for 10 seconds after lipstick has been put on.

How to apply blush: begin with a powder blush, choosing a color a little darker than your skin color. Pucker your mouth, suck in and lightly apply the powder in the hollows of those cheeks. Blend powder back towards your ears. For more color, sweep on a touch of your regular blusher. Blend carefully. You don't want definitive lines of blush on your face. Remember, blend!
